Below is a list of Web sites students might find helpful while searching for an internship or job. These sites are not limited to one major. All communication majors may find relevant opportunities in these sites, even if they are listed under one type of major.

Journalism & Visual Communication

  • Journalism Jobs has partnered with the Columbia Journalism review to compile the largest and
    most-visited resource for media jobs.
  • Journalism Next is a jobs site for minority journalists and media professionals.

Communication Studies

Telecommunications

  • Planetmedia, a complete listing of television jobs and listings for newspaper and radio professionals.
  • Production Source Book - lists companies in different categories such as editors, production companies, camera operators, etc.

All Majors

  • Entertainment Careers – Entertainment jobs, internships and career information with the entertainment industry.
  • NBCjobs.com offers entry-level opportunities for recent graduates.
  • Summerjobs.com offers students the chance to gain employment within communication at camps, resorts, national parks and businesses.

Additional internship references are available from the Lasher Learning Center in Scripps Hall, Career Services in Lindley Hall 185 and the School of Visual Communication in 301 Seigfred Hall.
